Since co-founding our practice in 2006, we have developed and enhanced our long-standing experience in many aspects of passivhaus and sustainable design.

Our experience includes extensive time spent working on site so we have a practical understanding of construction which we believe will give you a more thorough, well-detailed and thoughtful solution that better meets your needs.

We can offer either a partial or full architectural service.

Mhairi Grant | Director

B. Arch, Dip. Arch, M. Arch, Architect, CEPH Designer, ILFI

Mhairi specialises in low energy design: she is a Certified Passivhaus Designer with ‘PHPP Expert’ qualification, an RIAS Sustainability Accredited Architect, a Living Futures Accredited professional, and a Section 6: Energy Domestic Assessor.

Mhairi is also able to provide in-house hygrothermal analysis services, which are particularly relevant for retrofit projects.

She is the Stirling Society of Architects Sustainability convenor and sits on the RIAS Sustainability Working Group.

Martin McCrae | Director

B. Arch (Hons), Dip. Arch, M. Arch

Martin specialises in client-focused, bespoke and sustainable designs. He has an excellent knowledge of real life construction, detailing and the requirements of Passivhaus design and compliance.

Martin also has a keen interest in 3-D modelling and rendering and is able to provide in-house visualization services for projects.

He also undertakes U-Value & Interstitial Condensation Risk Calculations.
