hyndland // refurbishment

This beautiful, large West End property was completely internally remodelled and restored. ‘Folded’ surfaces are inserted into each of the 'functional' spaces creating clearly defined areas for specific activities, such as bathing, sleeping and cooking. These distinctive folded planes are differentiated from their surroundings in both colour and texture; they create a strikingly contemporary organisational and visual contrast to the restored historical features of this exciting home.

Alongside these bold interventions the historical features have been restored to the highest standard. Additionally the use of deep, rich colour and pattern creates more intimate spaces in which to unwind, relax and sleep, illustrating that contemporary life can take place in harmony with a historical context.
